You will be able to purchase snacks and drinks from the farm throughout your stay, with an evening meal and breakfast also available to purchase should you wish.  (More details to follow closer to the time)

If you have any questions about the camping or facilities available over the weekend then please do drop us an email at info@raceharborough.co.uk.

Camping questions:

What should I generally expect if I camp?

The site will have basic camping facilities with pitches suitable for tents, camper vans and caravans.

What facilities will be available?

There will be toilet and shower facilities, and cold running water near to the camping area. There will be no electric hook ups. Back to basics, folks!

Why are open fires and BBQ's NOT allowed?

As a working farm undergoing forestry restoration work at all times, no open fires or BBQs are permitted at the venue. Please respect the landowner and event organisers in complying with this request. Camping stoves though are fine.

Is it true, kids go free?

That’s right, but please be sensible. Different families will have different approaches. Please be mindful of other campers, and your children should be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

But no dogs?

Unfortunately, due to the working nature of the farm, dogs are not permitted for the safety of animals, farm workers and most importantly, the dogs themselves.

Can I access the site before 9am on the Saturday?

The site will open at 9am on the Saturday, with the first race not starting until 11am. Registration and the start of the races are right outside the camping ground and we’ve found that this is plenty of time for runners to get their tents up and be ready for the first event.

Do we park our car directly next to our tent or will there be a distance to transfer camping kit?

Cars will be parked in a field part-way up the farm drive, with a short 0.25m walk from the car park to the camping field to transfer camping kit/belongings.

What time do we need to be off site?

Following the Carrot Dash and prize giving on the Sunday, runners should return to pack away their tents and aim to be off site by about 3pm. Many runners decide to pack away their tents before running the half marathon that morning as bending down to pull out tent pegs becomes much harder after a hilly half marathon in the legs!
