Thump Events Ltd – Terms and Conditions
1.1 The above-named organisation from this point forward will be referred to as ‘The Organiser.’
1.2 The ‘Entrant’ or ‘Competitor’ refers to the individual or individuals that have submitted an entry for an event.
1.3 The ‘event’ refers to the event(s) listed on the Thump Events Ltd website.
1.4 The registered company address is Tailor’s Cottage, Main Street, Theddingworth, Leicestershire, LE176QR
Conditions of Entry
2.1 By entering an event, a competitor agrees to abide by the terms and conditions as listed. This includes all members of a team entry where applicable.
2.2 All competitors are aware that the nature of the event is physically demanding and that by entering they are confirming that they are capable of completing it. As a result, the organisers will not be held responsible for any injury or illness as a result of their participation.
2.3 The competitor(s) waives, and discharges from, any and all liability for death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft and all other foreseeable risks, claims or actions of any kind (including negligence) whatever and however occurring which may arise, at any time, from or in connection with, directly or indirectly, their participation in the event, the following persons or entities: The event organisers, event officials and personnel, land managers and/or owners, event sponsors, volunteers and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, independent contractors, representatives, agents and volunteers.
Confirmation of Entry
3.1 An acceptance email will be sent to entrants confirming entry to the event, from the Organiser’s online payment partner(s).
3.2 Entrants will receive an automatic email to confirm their entry. This email will have a link to enable the entrant to check/amend their details.
3.3 It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that all personal details are correct and updated.
3.4 Thump Events cannot guarantee that changes made after the closing date will be implemented.
If an entrant wishes to withdraw from an event and gives sufficient notice, then Thump Events Ltd are prepared to refund a proportion of the entry fee or defer the entry or transfer the entry to another entrant providing that the withdrawal policy is followed:
4.1 Any entrant wishing to withdraw, must notify the organiser in writing, by email. Emails should be sent to:
4.2 Entrants will receive confirmation of the withdrawal within 5 days. If you do not receive this confirmation, please telephone 07734 853748 to verify receipt of the withdrawal.
4.3 If the event is more than 10 weeks away, then withdrawals will be eligible for a 50% refund. This does not include the online processing fee which is non-refundable. No registration pack or goody bag will be sent to any competitor that has withdrawn from an event. If the event is less than 10 weeks away, then no refund is possible.
4.4 If the event is more than 10 weeks away, then the entry can be deferred until the next years event. If the event is less than 10 weeks away, then the entry cannot be deferred to next year.
4.5 If the event is more than 1 week away, the entry can be transferred to another entrant. This can be done by logging into the entrants Rider HQ account and making the changes there. This facility will be disabled 1 week before the start of the event and no more changes will be possible after this point. If a registration pack has already been distributed, it is the responsibility of the original entrant and the new entrant to arrange for the pack to be transferred.
Event Alteration and Cancellation
5.1 All information relating to the event will be published at www.thumpevents.co.uk. It is the responsibility of the competitor(s) to ensure that they have familiarised themselves with it.
5.2 The organiser has the right to change any event for a reason of safety without prior notice. When making changes, the organisers will ensure that the format of the event remains as close as possible to that advertised.
5.3 If for reasons beyond the organiser’s control (including an ‘act of God’ due to unforeseen, naturally occurring events that were unavoidable or inclement weather such as snow, ice, high winds, extremes of temperature etc), the event that competitors entered is unable to be held, the organisers will attempt to re-schedule to new event date. Entries will automatically be transferred to the re-scheduled date.
If competitors are unable to attend the new date, then they will be able to obtain a proportion of event entry fees, subject to organisers making a deduction for incurred costs. A full refund will not be offered under any circumstances.
Entrant’s information and photography
6.1 The entrant authorises the use of their name, voice and picture and any information provided on the entry form to be used without payment in any broadcast, telecast, communication, promotion or advertising. The entrant also agrees that the information may be used by the organiser for the purpose of promoting future or other events or for the promotion of the event charity, race sponsors products and services.
7.1 If an entrant is not able to stay after the event for the prize giving, prizes will not be posted. They will be made available to collect at a venue in Market Harborough. We will publish details of where to collect via the Thump Events website.
7.2 Entries missing age, date of birth or gender are not eligible for age group prizes.
8.1 Details of race registration times will be posted in the race information pack. All entrants are required to attend within the specified times. Entrants that do not attend, will not be allowed to race and will lose their right to a place in that event.
8.2 Race briefing times will also be published in the race information pack. Thump Events reserves the right not to allow a competitor to take part if they have missed the race briefing.
Refusal of Entry
9.1 Thump Events maintains the right to refuse or revoke entry to any entrant entirely at their discretion.
